CVE-2021-25465

Man-in-the-middle attack via improper scheme validation

Published Sep 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper scheme validation in Samsung Electronics Galaxy Themes before 5.2.01 allows attackers to conduct a man-in-the-middle attack. The scheme check fails to reject an unsafe transport scheme, but Samsung has not disclosed the checked parameter or affected request path. Exploitation requires local low-privileged access, and Samsung's published assessment limits the consequence to unauthorized data modification.
