Information disclosure in Samsung Messages before SMR July-2021 Release 1 allows local users to read protected message files. SmsViewerActivity trusts the SmsViewerData.f25878w content URI supplied by another app and copies the referenced file into its external cache. A malicious app must be installed, and the device user must press Share; exploitation exposes the selected Messages file without altering it.
