CVE-2021-25421

Wi-Fi password disclosure via excessive logging

Published Jun 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Information disclosure in Samsung Electronics Galaxy Watch3 Plugin before 2.2.09.21033151 allows local users to read a Wi-Fi password from logs. The wearable-device plugin writes the smartphone's connected Wi-Fi password into its log instead of excluding the credential. Access requires local log permissions, and exposure is limited to the password recorded for the smartphone's connected Wi-Fi network.
