CVE-2021-25417Public exploit

Internal-storage access via unauthorized privilege grant

Published Jun 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Improper authorization in the SDP SDK on Samsung Mobile Devices P(9.0) and Q(10.0) allows local users to read internal storage. The SDK honors an app's SDP manifest metadata by granting internal-storage privilege without checking whether the app is authorized. Exploitation requires installation of an attacker-controlled app, which can exfiltrate stored data without Android storage permission.
