Code execution via improper frame input validation
Published Jun 11, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Heap-based buffer overflow in Samsung Mobile Devices before SMR May-2021 Release 1 allows remote attackers to execute code in mediaextractor. The sflacfd_get_frm() function in libsflacextractor inadequately validates frame input, allowing a heap buffer overflow. Network delivery requires no privileges or user interaction, and successful exploitation runs arbitrary code in the mediaextractor process.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
