Attachment disclosure via predictable attachment indexes
Published Apr 9, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Information disclosure in Samsung Email before 6.1.41.0 allows remote attackers to obtain other messages' attachments. The attachment-handling logic uses predictable indexes, allowing a crafted attachment to reference and expose an attachment belonging to another email. Exploitation requires a user to open the malicious attachment; the reported consequence is attachment disclosure, not message modification or service interruption.
