Unprotected IMSI storage in Samsung Mobile Devices on Android 9 and 10 allows local users to read IMSI values through untrusted applications. The firmware writes IMSI values to an improper storage path that applications can access without the permission normally required for subscriber identifiers. Exploitation requires an untrusted application to run locally on an affected device; the documented consequence is disclosure of the stored IMSI, not data modification or service interruption.
