Unauthorized activity launch via malicious deep link
Published Mar 25, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Improper authorization in Samsung Internet before 13.2.1.46 allows attackers to launch a non-exported activity through a malicious deep link. The browser's deep-link handler inadequately validates attacker-controlled link input before dispatching it to an Android activity that is not exported. Exploitation requires interaction with the crafted link on an affected Android device; Samsung discloses the unauthorized activity launch but not the activity's resulting behavior.
