Out-of-bounds read in Pillow before 8.2.0 allows remote attackers to expose process memory or crash applications via crafted JPEG 2000 images. Jpeg2KDecode sizes decoded tile storage from the component count rather than summed component byte widths, so j2ku_graya_la reads beyond an undersized tile buffer during pixel shuffling. Exploitation requires an application to decode an attacker-controlled JPEG 2000 image; the resulting read exposes process memory or crashes the decoding process but does not modify data.
