Published Jan 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
DLL hijacking in Trend Micro HouseCall for Home Networks 5.3.1063 and earlier allows local users to execute code as Administrator. The Windows application searches PATH directories for a particular DLL and loads an attacker-placed copy without constraining the search location. Exploitation requires local login access, control of a searched directory, and execution of the affected program; successful code inherits administrator rights.
