Service interruption via scheduled-scan memory exhaustion

Memory exhaustion in Trend Micro ServerProtect for Linux 3.0 allows local users to interrupt service through a crafted file during a scheduled scan. The splx_schedule_scan executable fails to validate user-supplied file data before processing it, allowing the scan to consume available memory. Exploitation requires low-privileged code execution on the host and a scheduled scan of the crafted file; the reported consequence is service interruption.
