Remote denial of service via unbounded lame cache

Denial of service in affected ISC BIND 9 branches allows remote attackers to delay recursive DNS queries via broken-authority responses. The response-processing path inserts broken-authority results into a lame cache whose internal structures can grow almost without bound. Lame caching is enabled by default, but authoritative-only servers are unaffected; exposed resolvers can spend most CPU time managing the cache and cause client timeouts.
