Browser script execution via reflected search input
Published Jul 22, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in SourceCodester Content Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to inject script through the search parameter. The application reflects the supplied search value into a page without neutralizing executable markup, but public sources disagree on whether the affected locus is search.php or admin/new_content.php. Victim interaction with an attacker-crafted request is required, and successful exploitation executes script in the victim browser context.
