Application crash via malformed drawing type conversion
Published Jan 18, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Incorrect type conversion in Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK before 2021.11 allows attackers to crash an application during drawing rendering. The rendering path performs an incorrect conversion while processing malformed DXF or DWG content, but ODA has not identified the affected function or converted types. Exploitation requires a crafted drawing to be rendered, causing the consuming process to exit or restart and interrupt service.
