Code execution via unvalidated DGN file data
Published Jan 18, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Memory corruption in Open Design Alliance Drawings SDK before 2021.12 allows attackers to execute code through a malformed DGN file. The DGN parser fails to validate user-supplied file data before processing it, producing memory corruption in the current process. Exploitation requires a user to open the crafted file or visit a malicious page, after which the application can crash or attacker code can run with that process's privileges.
