A local buffer overflow in HPE Apollo 70 BMC firmware before 3.0.14.0 allows local users to corrupt memory through WebUpdateComponent. The flaw resides in the WebUpdateComponent function in libifc.so, but HPE has not disclosed the unchecked copy operation or input that overruns its buffer. Exploitation requires local low-privileged BMC access; HPE does not specify whether this CVE causes a crash or code execution.
