File disclosure and service interruption via XXE
Published Apr 28, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
XXE in Aruba Networks AirWave Management Platform before 8.2.12.1 allows remote authenticated users to read local files via crafted XML. The web-based management interface parses attacker-supplied XML without adequately restricting external entities, enabling local-resource resolution or resource exhaustion. Authenticated management access is required; exploitation exposes local file contents or interrupts service by consuming application resources.
