Authenticated sensitive-file overwrite via Web Interface
Published Mar 30, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Arbitrary file write in affected Aruba Instant releases allows remote authenticated users to overwrite sensitive system files through the WebUI. The Web Interface accepts an attacker-selected file target and writes supplied content over it; HPE has not disclosed the responsible endpoint or validation failure. Administrative access to the management interface is required, and the documented consequence is modification of sensitive files without direct disclosure or service interruption.
