Subscriber-level asset deletion via unchecked AJAX action
Published Jun 13, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Missing authorization in Enqueue Anything 1.0.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete enqueued assets without permission. The remove_asset AJAX action performs removal without capability or CSRF checks; releases before 1.0.1 also accept non-asset post IDs and can move arbitrary posts to the trash. Subscriber access enables direct exploitation, while a crafted form can invoke the action through an authenticated user's browser.
