Frontend access denial via nonce-free rule saving
Published Feb 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
CSRF in IP2Location Country Blocker before 2.26.6 allows remote attackers to change country-blocking rules through an administrator. The ip2location_country_blocker_save_rules AJAX action accepts rule changes without validating a WordPress nonce. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to submit a forged request; blocking all countries prevents frontend access.
