Administrator script execution via unescaped parameter keys
Published Feb 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in AccessPress Themes Form Store to DB before 1.1.1 allows remote attackers to execute scripts in an administrator's browser. The plugin stores unsanitized multipart form parameter names and renders those keys without output escaping on the created-entry admin page. No authentication is required to submit a crafted Contact Form 7 entry, but an administrator must view that entry; execution is confined to the administrator's browser context.
