Stored XSS via unchecked cookie-button setting
Published Feb 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in WPeka Club WP Legal Pages before 2.7.1 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through plugin settings. The save_cookie_bar_form AJAX action stores lp-cookie-button-text without authorization, sanitization, or output escaping, then displays it on front-end pages. Subscriber-level WordPress access and a later page view are required; successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied script in visitors' browsers.
