CVE-2021-25095Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Subscriber-level frontend denial via unchecked AJAX rules

Published Feb 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024

Missing authorization in IP2Location Country Blocker before 2.26.5 allows remote authenticated users to block frontend access by country. The ip2location_country_blocker_save_rules AJAX action accepts country and mode values from any logged-in account and saves blocking rules without a capability check. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and selecting an invalid or all-country rule denies visitors access to the WordPress frontend.
