Unauthenticated open redirect via unvalidated src parameter
Published Jan 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Open redirect in Mateusz Gbiorczyk's Converter for Media before 4.0.3 allows remote attackers to redirect visitors through crafted links. The publicly reachable includes/passthru.php endpoint accepts the src query parameter without validating its destination before redirecting the browser. No authentication is required, but a visitor must follow the crafted plugin URL; an attacker controls the destination reached by that redirect.
