Ad deletion via unchecked administrative request
Published Jan 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
CSRF in Webmaster-Source WP125 before 1.5.5 allows remote attackers to make a logged-in administrator delete an advertisement. The wp125_addedit administration handler accepts the deletead query parameter without verifying a CSRF nonce before deleting the selected ad. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to follow or load a crafted URL, and the demonstrated consequence is ad deletion.
