Arbitrary post deletion via missing CSRF check
Published Feb 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster before 4.3.25 allows remote attackers to delete arbitrary WordPress posts. The nxssnap-reposter admin page processes item and action=delete query parameters without verifying a CSRF nonce before deleting the selected post. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to open a crafted request, and the consequence is unauthorized deletion of attacker-selected posts.
