Unauthenticated SQL injection via unescaped User-Agent
Published Mar 28, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in the Block Bad Bots WordPress plugin before 6.88 allows remote attackers to alter database queries with a crafted User-Agent. The log-recording path inserts the HTTP User-Agent into an SQL statement without sanitization or escaping, so attacker-controlled SQL changes the query. No authentication or user interaction is required; successful injection can read or modify database data or interrupt database-backed service.
