Authenticated SQL injection via unsanitized package IDs
Published Feb 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in W3 Eden, Inc. WordPress Download Manager before 3.2.34 allows remote authenticated users to alter database queries. The wp-admin stats page inserts package_ids array values into an SQL statement without sanitizing or escaping them, so crafted values change the query and inject returned markup. Reachability requires an authenticated WordPress session and access to the wpdm-stats page; successful exploitation can expose or alter database data and reflect attacker-controlled script in the response.
