Authenticated script execution via cff-top reflection
Published Jan 17, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Smash Balloon Social Post Feed before 4.1.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via the cff-top admin page. The custom-facebook-feed cff-top admin page reflects attacker-controlled input into generated HTML without adequate output encoding. An authenticated WordPress account must induce an administrator to load the crafted request; script executes in that user's browser context and can read or alter accessible page data.
