Stored script execution via unsanitized Project Key
Published Feb 21, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Translation Exchange 1.0.14 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute script in another user's browser. The Project Key setting accepts attacker-supplied closing markup and script content, stores it on save, and later renders it without adequate output neutralization. Access to the plugin settings and interaction by a user who loads the stored value are required; execution is confined to that user's web session.
