Remote code execution via CSRF-triggered file inclusion
Published Jan 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in Wow-Company Button Generator before 2.3.3 allows remote attackers to execute PHP code on WordPress sites. The wow-company admin page passes its untrusted tab query parameter to PHP include(), accepting PHP paths and data:// or http:// URLs. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open a crafted link and PHP allow_url_include to be enabled, after which attacker-controlled PHP runs with the web server's privileges.
