Script execution via unescaped shortcode parameter
Published Oct 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Premium Themes Cryptocurrency Pricing list and Ticker 1.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute script in a victim's browser. The shortcode page returns the ccpw_setpage URL parameter without sanitizing or escaping it, so crafted markup enters the rendered response. Exploitation requires a page embedding the ccpw_currencies_with_price shortcode and user interaction with a crafted link; script executes with the victim's site privileges.
