Reflected XSS via unescaped AJAX parameters
Published Dec 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Photo Gallery by 10Web before 1.5.68 allows remote attackers to run script in a visitor's browser via crafted GET parameters. The bwg_frontend_data AJAX action reflects bwg_album_breadcrumb_0 and shortcode_id values into HTML without neutralizing attribute-breaking input. Exploitation requires a visitor to follow a crafted URL; injected script then runs in the site's origin and can read or alter browser-accessible data.
