Script execution via unescaped request parameters
Published Mar 7, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Obtain Infotech's Multisite Content Copier/Updater before 2.1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script via parameters. The plugin writes wmcc_content_type, wmcc_source_blog, and wmcc_record_per_page into HTML attributes without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires a user to load an attacker-crafted request, causing script execution in that user's WordPress session and enabling page data access or actions available to the session.
