Off-site user redirection via unvalidated return URL
Published Jan 24, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Open redirect in The Events Calendar Event Tickets before 5.2.2 allows remote attackers to redirect users through a crafted URL. The RSVP form route copies the unvalidated tribe_tickets_redirect_to query value into an HTTP Location response. No authentication is required, but a victim must follow the crafted link; the resulting off-site navigation can support phishing without directly altering site data.
