Administrator-session script execution via unescaped restore parameters
Published Jan 3, 2022 · Updated May 22, 2025
Reflected XSS in TeamUpdraft UpdraftPlus before 1.16.66 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The restore administration page writes the backup_timestamp and job_id query parameters into its response without sanitizing or escaping them. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to follow a site-specific crafted link, bounding the consequence to script execution in that browser context.
