Administrator folder deletion via unvalidated cache path
Published Jan 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in OMGF before 4.5.12 allows remote authenticated users with administrator access to delete arbitrary folders. The uninstall cleanup uses the unvalidated Fonts Cache Directory setting as a deletion path, allowing ../ sequences to escape the plugin cache. An administrator must save a crafted path, enable settings removal, and uninstall the plugin; deleting WordPress directories can interrupt the site.
