Administrator folder deletion via unchecked cache path
Published Jan 3, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Path traversal in Daan van den Bergh CAOS Host Google Analytics Locally before 4.1.9 allows remote authenticated users to delete arbitrary folders. The cache-directory setting accepts parent-directory sequences, and uninstall cleanup removes the resulting path without confining it to the plugin cache. A WordPress administrator must set the crafted path, enable settings removal on uninstall, and uninstall the plugin, which can destroy site files.
