Stored XSS via unchecked addon notice parameter
Published Dec 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in RebelCode WP RSS Aggregator before 4.19.3 allows remote authenticated users to run script in an admin browser. The wprss_dismiss_addon_notice AJAX action lacks authorization and CSRF checks and stores the unsanitized addon parameter for output on the System Info page. Subscriber-level access can plant the payload, but an administrator must open that page to trigger script execution in the administrator's browser.
