Reflected XSS via unescaped search keyword
Published Apr 11, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in PickPlugins Post Grid before 2.1.16 allows remote attackers to execute script via a crafted keyword parameter. The search form writes keyword into an HTML attribute without output escaping, allowing attribute breakout and event-handler injection. A target page must contain a Post Grid search form; with the demonstrated handler, a visitor must open the crafted URL and move the pointer over the field.
