Script execution via unescaped changes-saved parameter
Published Dec 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Syam Mohan WPFront User Role Editor before 3.2.1.11184 allows remote attackers to run script via changes-saved. The admin dashboard prints the changes-saved query parameter into its response without sanitizing or escaping it, so supplied markup executes as script. Exploitation requires a logged-in user with access to the affected dashboard to open a crafted request; the script runs with that session's access.
