Administrator-session script execution via unescaped search parameter
Published Dec 27, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Paid Memberships Pro before 2.6.6 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser via the s parameter. The discount-code administration page writes the s query value into an HTML input attribute without attribute escaping. Exploitation requires a logged-in administrator to follow a crafted URL, after which the injected script runs with access to that WordPress administration session.
