Stored cross-site scripting via logged request headers
Published Feb 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Stored XSS in NextScripts: Social Networks Auto-Poster before 4.3.24 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The unauthenticated nxs-cronrun endpoint logs attacker-controlled HTTP headers, and the Log/History dashboard renders those records without sanitization or output escaping. Exploitation requires an administrator to open the affected dashboard; the injected script runs in that authenticated WordPress session.
