Authenticated blind SQL injection via unescaped artID
Published Apr 25, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in Advanced Page Visit Counter before 6.1.6 allows remote authenticated users to execute database queries via artID. The apvc_reset_count_art AJAX action inserts the artID parameter into a SQL statement without escaping it. Any authenticated WordPress account can submit the request; the published proof of concept demonstrates time-based blind query execution.
