Administrator script execution via unescaped date parameter
Published Dec 21, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Adenion GmbH Blog2Social before 6.8.7 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser. The admin-page handler reflects the b2sShowByDate query parameter into HTML without sanitizing or escaping it. A targeted administrator must open a crafted link while able to access the plugin's admin page; the injected script then reads or modifies data available to that page.
