Unauthenticated SQL injection via unescaped option parameter
Published Jan 10, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
SQL injection in the WP Search Filters widget in The Plus Addons for Elementor Pro before 5.0.7 allows remote attackers to alter SQL queries. The admin-ajax handler inserts option[0][seapara][0][value] into an SQL statement without sanitizing or escaping it. A reachable page containing the widget exposes the required nonce; the published proof of concept demonstrates an injected database delay, not arbitrary data access.
