Stored XSS via unsanitized settings
Published Feb 1, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
AGCA – Custom Dashboard & Login Page before 7.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute stored JavaScript through unsanitized admin settings. The plugin stores attacker-controlled values from the Change version text and Change footer text settings without sanitization, then renders those values across administrator pages. Exploitation requires a high-privilege WordPress account and a victim administrator to load an affected admin page; the consequence is script execution in that administrator's browser context.
