Administrator-session script execution via unescaped search parameter
Published Mar 14, 2022 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in PersianScript Persian WooCommerce 5.8.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to run script in an administrator's browser. The admin page at wp-admin/admin.php?page=persian-wc writes the s query parameter into an HTML attribute without escaping it. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to follow a crafted URL; the injected script executes with that dashboard session's privileges.
