Script execution via unescaped Log page parameter
Published Dec 6, 2021 · Updated Aug 3, 2024
Reflected XSS in Sudar Muthu Email Log before 2.4.8 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's browser via the d parameter. The Log page writes d into an HTML attribute without escaping it, so a crafted admin.php request injects event-handler code. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to open the crafted URL, after which the script can act within that administrator's WordPress session.
