Arbitrary email sending via unchecked AJAX fields
Published Aug 7, 2023 · Updated Oct 15, 2024
Improper access control in Themeum Qubely before 1.8.6 allows remote attackers to send arbitrary email through a public AJAX action. The qubely_send_form_data handler accepts caller-supplied recipient, sender, subject, and body fields without confirming an authorized contact-form submission. No account is required; any reachable WordPress site exposing the action can relay attacker-chosen messages.
